Job Description

Tasks will include front desk reception, with immediate attention and assistance to visitors and members.  Clerical and office duties will demand meticulous attention to detail.
The individual will assist in visual arts programming and promotion which will involve social media campaign applications. The individual will also plan and instruct an art camp for children.  Website updates and publishing of newsletters will also be ongoing.  Solid computer skills will be utilized in all aspects of communication.  Opportunities to learn new software will be provided. This is a fast-paced work environment balanced with exciting and interesting cultural experiences.  Occasional weekend or evening hours may be required.
This position is dependent on approval of grant funding. 

Education RequirementSecondary School Diploma Experience Requirement

The Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre is seeking a well-organized, motivated and enthusiastic candidate for the summer position of Arts Administrative Assistant.  Eligibility for this position includes persons up to 30 years old.  Flexibility is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently.  Experience in engaging with the public is required, along with solid computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.  A willingness to learn new applications such as Mail Chimp and WordPress Illustrator would be helpful.

The Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre is a member-based charitable organization with a focus on excellence in visual arts instruction in the form of classes, workshops and exhibitions.  Our members engage in quilting, pottery, fine arts, rug hooking and fibre arts activities.  The ICAC has approximately 215 members, an exhibition gallery, and gift shop.
