Job Description

- Supervise 2+ person crew 
- Train crew members 
- Prepare soil; plant bulbs, plants and seeds 
- Dig, cut and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers and plants 
- Plant bushes, shrubs, trees, flowers and plants in a strategic patter designed by a landscape designer 
- Plan and schedule planting that will thrive in different weather conditions 
- Maintain landscape environments by pruning, mulching, weeding, edging, trimming, fertilizing and watering 
- Interact with clients and propose new ideas or options for dealing with plant, lawn or tree diesease or deterioration 
- Assist in planning and organizing the job, ensuring that sufficient resources and material are available and that the job is completed in the most time efficient manner 
- May perform specialist functions based on certification or licence to ensure the health of lawns, trees, shrubs, bushes, flowers and plants 
- Follow and enforce all Health & Safety regulations including wearing appropriate PPE 
- Ensure and enforce safe certification of training on all equipment/machines in question through GoGreenius 
- Responsible for overall company image (uniforms) 
- Responsible for maintaining accurate time records on Viaesys 
- May operate tractors and other machinery and equipment 
- Responsible for reporting all safety issues/hazards to Division Manager 
- Report all incidents / accidents / near misses to Division Manager 
- Responsible for housekeeping of work space 
- Reports all vacation and sick days to Division Manager 
- Responsible for transport of all crew members in company vehicle 

Education RequirementSecondary School Diploma Experience Requirement

Courtland Professional Property Management is currently looking for a proven Team Leader who holds professional hands on experience in Horticulture. The qualified candidate will hold experience in running a 2+ person property maintenance crew. This position is seasonal with fulltime during spring/summer/fall and on call during the winter season. Snow Removal experience is an asset. 


Secondary School Diploma 
Horticulture Technician Certificate 
Possess a Valid Class - G Drivers license with clean driving record 
DZ License in an asset 
First Aid & CPR is an asset
